Christopher Tran
Christopher is a 3rd-year Psychobiology major from San Diego, CA. He joined CDO seeking meaningful dental experience and an opportunity to surround himself with like-minded individuals. CDO has given him both valuable and eye-opening clinical experience and fond memories to look back on with the club's members! Outside of CDO, Christopher is also involved in Alpha Epsilon Delta as VP, President of the UCLA Wrestling Club, Smiles Beyond Boundaries, and does research in the Zhou Lab. In his free time, you can find him eating food around LA, watching horror movies, or lifting at the gym!
Ilene Jahanpour
Ilene is a 4th year Biology major from San Diego, CA. She joined CDO because of the unique opportunity to work alongside dental students while providing care to underserved communities. She values gaining hands-on patient experience while learning from students who were in her position just a few years ago and share her passion for service and dentistry. Ilene is also a research assistant for the Clubb lab, dental assistant, SUAT member, PDSOP member, and part of BDP. In her free time, she loves to go to the gym, play pickleball, and go to the beach!!
Megan SandovaL
Megan is a 3rd year Psychobiology major from Seattle, Washington. What drew her to CDO was the opportunity to provide dental care to underserved communities while gaining hands-on clinical experience. She resonates with CDO’s commitment to make dental care more equitable and accessible and is excited to expand her knowledge of dentistry while building connections with her pre-dental peers. Outside of CDO, Megan stays involved in Dental Brigades, EHE Cares Lab, OH4VP, Bruin Political Review, and Spanish in Healthcare. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors whether running with friends, hiking, or skiing. She also loves exploring LA’s food scene and frequents CorePower Yoga!
Nicole Mazaheri
Nicole is a 4th Year Psychobiology major from Los Angeles, CA. She joined CDO because she truly wanted to help underserved communities to ensure that they receive access to essential care while learning more about her passion for dentistry. She is not only excited for the ability to gain hands on clinical exposure but also the chance to connect with more students both passionate about dentistry and making a difference in underserved communities. Nicole is also part of PSCO, a Persian Interest Sorority, Active Minds, and is a neurology research assistant. Some of her hobbies include traveling, cooking, and playing volleyball!
Dylan Cho
Dylan is a 3rd-year MCDB major from Roseville, CA. He joined CDO because he wanted to make dental care accessible to underserved communities. He also wanted to gain more clinical experience and make more like minded pre-dental friends! He stays involved on campus as a research assistant at the Kim Lab, intern and family head at Vietnamese Community Health, SUAT, and PDSOP.
KAITY WONG
Kaity is a 3rd Year Cognitive Science major from Orange County, CA. She joined CDO for the opportunity to gain meaningful clinical experience while serving underserved communities alongside students who share her passion for dentistry. Over the past year, CDO has given her valuable hands-on exposure to patient care, lasting friendships, and a supportive community that has helped her grow as a pre-dental student. Outside of CDO, Kaity stays involved with PDSOP, Rancho Los Amigos, BDP, study abroad, and Alpha Phi Sorority. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, going to the beach, cooking, and trying out new workout spots!
MICHAEL LEONE
Michael is a 4th year psychobiology major from Valencia, CA. He joined CDO to gain more clinical experience, particularly in underserved and ESL communities. He stays involved on campus as the PDSOP Community Service Officer, Greek Intervarsity, Sigma Nu Fraternity, UCLA IT Services, and research at the Yokota Lab.
Savonnah wong
Savonnah is a 4th Year Human Biology and Society major from the Bay Area, CA. She joined CDO to help make dental care accessible to underserved communities while gaining valuable hands-on experience. She finds CDO a meaningful way to combine my passion for service with her love for dentistry. What excites her the most about CDO is the chance to gain hands-on experience in the field while connecting with fellow pre-dents in UCLA's vast community. Savonnah is also part of Scope PHA, the Igor Spigelman Lab, and student researcher at the UCLA Heat lab. In her free time, she loves hiking and exploring the beautiful trails around LA. She’s also a huge foodie and enjoys diving into the plethora of cuisines the city has to offer and is always on the lookout for new spots to try!
