Melina Reyes

asian american studies minor
Melina is a 4th year majoring in Biology and minoring in Asian American Studies from Orange County. She is grateful to be part of the amazing support network of CDO that has helped her all along her undergraduate journey. Gaining clinical experience alongside CDO’s passionate members while making a positive impact in underrepresented communities is what she enjoys most. On campus, she is a member of SUAT and works for UCLA Recreation, also serving on the Recreation Leadership Council. She volunteers with the Stein Eye Institute, where she enjoys working with kids and teaching about eye health. In her free time, she likes to root on LA sports teams, practice yoga, go to concerts, and travel with friends and family!
Mikayla Nazarian

Mikayla is a 3rd year majoring in Human Biology and Society from Granada Hills, CA. She joined CDO to connect with an inspiring and supportive family of pre-dental students, while gaining invaluable hands-on experience serving underrepresented communities. On campus, she stays involved as a Pedagogy Head Learning Assistant for the LS7 series, Bruin Ambassador Program, SUAT, and PDSOP. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, playing pickleball, and solving crossword puzzles!
Alexandra Donell

Alex is a 3rd year Psychobiology major from Palos Verdes, CA. She joined CDO because she wanted to be surrounded by motivated individuals with similar goals as her and gain experience volunteering in more dental-related settings. Apart from CDO, Alex is involved with the Pre-Dental Student Outreach Program, Best Buddies, and mentors youth through Girls Inc. of Los Angeles. She also volunteers with the Wilson Motor Lab, works on the ASUCLA Event Staff, and is a member of the Alpha Phi sorority. In her free time, she enjoys going to the beach and finding new matcha spots.
Lana Alashkar

Lana is a 4th year majoring in Psychobiology and minoring in Global Health from Lebanon and Syria. She is involved in the Dashew Center's International Students Ambassador program and is the chair of Professional Development of the Arab Women’s Association at UCLA (AIWA). She joined CDO because it would allow her to get more hands-on experience in the dental field while getting to know more motivated and passionate pre-dental students! In her free time, she enjoys photography and watching all kinds of movies.
Julianna Ho

Psychobiology, B.S. 2026
Julianna is a 4th year majoring in Psychobiology from San Ramon, CA. She looks forward to working with a group of dedicated pre-dental students and gaining invaluable dental experience through serving the greater Los Angeles community. Outside of CDO, she stays involved through the American Cancer Society, PDSOP, Gamma Phi Beta Sorority, and working at the John Wooden Center. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her friends, working out, cooking, and going to concerts.
Ika Vukic

Molecular, Cell, and Developmental Biology, B.S. 2027
Ika is a 3rd year majoring in Molecular, Cellular, & Developmental Biology from Shadow Hills, CA. She is thankful for the inspiring people that she has met through CDO, with every member sharing a passion towards providing quality health care and being a role model within their community. At UCLA, she stays involved with organizations like YMAA (Youth Movement Against Alzeihmer's), and dental clubs SUAT and PDSOP. Outside of school, Ika keeps busy through dancing with St. Anthony's Kolo Club Croatia, an international folklore group, working as a barista at Cafe Synapse, and working at Belmont Village Senior Living as an enrichment leader. In her free time, Ika loves to try new recipes, plan group trips, and enjoy a perfect beach day.
